Mono bridgeing ML27

Hi,

Have this ML27 and would like to buy another one for running them as monos.
Is it OK to just pick up another unit and bridge them for mono operation or do they have to be from consecutive/close serial numbers?

Also, would anyone have an opinion about if it's better to mono use two ML27s or just go for a ML23.5?
