Modwright 9.0 swl ss rectified .....and Don Sachs 6sn7 pre

This is a pure curiosity question. How does the Modwright compare with Don Sachs ? I own and love
the Modwright 9.0 ,which I bought here in December 2017. Since I see so much praise for Don Sachs
and because I have a curiosity about the 6sn7 tube as compared with 5687,maybe some of you could
chime in. I also read the Supratek blog now and then and Mick Maloney is using 6sn7 tube so adding to
my curiosity. Anyway, it's all due to the ever present bug that I ask,and am quite happy with my Modwright.
Go figure...........             I have a McCormack DNA 1 amp.

Never had the pleasure of hearing the MW 9.0, but I have a Don Sachs with a DNA 1 amp that I like very  much.
well,4hannons....it doesn't look like this is exactly taking off,but thanks for posting.
ya...not taking off, oh well... I’m sure you’ve seen the other posts recently mentioning Don Sachs -- there’s a few now. I posted a long-ish comparison a few days ago directly comparing it with Pass and DeHavilland. In short, the Don Sachs sounds very detailed, low noise, and in stock form about as uncolored as a Pass pre. I think those qualities make it well liked, along with the flexibility of tubes and the upgrade options.
No experience with Modwright Electronics other than his modified Sony and Marantz Tube CD Players and they are phenomenal. Currently using Don Sach's DS2 Tube 6SN7 Pre-Amp and his Kootenay 65 Watts KT88 Tube Amp and it's some of the best sounding electronics I have heard in my system regardless of price.

Wig
wig.....I googled Sachs kootenay and found a thread here from late 2017 with posts from you......some good tube info going on.
4hannons.....I looked for post from you but couldn't find, but would
like to read .What thread is it on ?
I really am happy with my Modwright so should probably leave well enough alone but as I said,it's curiosity, as I hear much praise for the 6sn7 tube, where as the Modwright uses 5687 which from what I understand is more solid state in nature compared to 6sn7.
