A used pair of Tannoy 8 dcti or 10 dcti, if you can find them, would serve you well. I have 8 dcti’s and love them.
Modern speaker comparable to Tannoy R3?
I have a pair of Tannoy Revolution R3 floorstanding speakers that I've owned from new for about 18 years. I've run them with a variety of amplifiers, but right now they are paired with a Rega Brio (2018). I'd like to evaluate newer speakers and was wondering what might be comparable? I no longer have the original specifications, but according to what I've found online, they are a 3-way design with one 25mm driver and two 165mm drivers. Their sensitivity is supposedly 89dB with 105W continuous power handling.
