Mitigating the Bubble

Today after many years of trials and tribulations I have mitigated a sonic aberration a horizontal phase anomaly in my center stage.  While the center image was always stable and outlined it seemed narrow and bubble like and I would need to shift my body angle to really lock in the image. This was obvious on many CDs and LPs .

I have many man made fixes that helped the situation but never a total cure. Some of these are now permanent fixtures on the ceiling in 2 different locations. I made my own acoustic panels filled with long hair sheep's wool and 3 Argent Room Lenses.  I have laminar flow lenses that focus and stabilize the image across the front stage. I have built and treated an acoustic fan that overcomes the  boundaries with in my room by reducing interference. I have loaded my speaker cabinets 3 times with new drivers and now an outboard crossover. This was after my Essence 30s speakers and my Dunlavy SC4s.  ..All my components are hard mounted and direct coupled to the floor...on rock solid racks and speaker stands, custom mono bloc amps each on their own stand. All of these devices and angles and positions made the image wider and more focused but I still had that little  bubble and shift before me. Always less annoying with each new device and tweak.

So, your probably saying to yourself hurry up and get to the end. The end finally arrived today after having applied a contact enhancer 7 days ago to just 6 RCA ends out of many connections in my system.  Today with a friend who has been here a hundred times sitting in the Chair playing the same music as usual he said there was a wider sweet spot. I despise that term but he said it and not me.What we both heard was a super stable center image that was a few feet wide and not just one. The bubble was gone. The head in the vise was gone.  Off came the straight jacket and helmet. What I have now in this space intime is a glorious fully extended soundstage with all the meat on the bones and the features of talking heads on a real live performance stage.

I have probably used eight different contact enhancers over five decades but this one blows my mind. This product  Nano Flo is the ultimate in transparency.

Your a poor detective...The answers for your questions can be found within posts of this thread. Tom

I will treat the cables I already own and have used for 10 years or more. I imagine their fully broken in by now so any addition to the contacts should be easily heard. Tom

Am I supposed to stop my written  descriptions of what has been a great part of my life living and working in audio? My writings are about the product  benefits and not of its maker. His comments on this thread are a detriment to his product:'s acceptance. Tom

Holmz,

Do you have a list of measurement tests for electrical components or conductive polymers that correlates line by line to descriptive adjectives that gives you the magic answers you seek? Tom

I saw a video improvement after an application of nps 1260 so the Sheridd2 experience is of no suprise.. I will remove 1260 and replace with Nanoflo when more is available for sale. Tom

I take issue with Mikey on contact treatments. I do agree with his use of Sistrum Platforms under his speakers and some of his main components. He loves the benefits of direct coupling..I am a member of SoundStageAudio.com ..Tom

Chris has been forthright with me about his claims for the gel. Several of us here validated his claims further beyond day 1 musical performance improved in all facets.

If he were able to remove the insulation from the conductors, apply the gel and then re apply the insulators then for me there would be a high probability his cable would be better. My senses tell myself thats possible..Kool to compare treated as I desctibed with an untreated sibling.

Sherrid2 Sympathy for the Devil travels much further down the side walls especially on the right channel.. Devil is in the details.. Tom

I hate starting a thread here. I know watt I hear based on some components being in my system for over 10 years except for my audio racks which have been in use for over 15 years. Sistrum racks and platforms mechanical grounding knot isolation which can only exist in the absence of matter.

So my main components are relatively stasis. I change 1 thing at a time. I evaluate by myself and with 2 friends. They both used TC and nps 1260 and this product is way beyond those two.  I use geometric shapes on ceilings and walls I have added laminar flow devices to augment audible images. I have built a active air control that further enhances details high and low and removes to a great degree boundaries such as walls and furniture..I have mixed my own coatings to use on my in room breaker box which is attached directly to the outside meter box and shielded metal feed underground to the ground mounted transformer 35 feet from my house. I know watt I hear. So, yea I am glad I bought Nano Flo and it works to a high level for me. I bought more which is the way. Tom

From the inside out of my power cords I believe they are much better than the raw nano flo cable untreated. I have not gotten around to treating any of my ac power cord ends other than my projector. If it was possible for me to build a cable from the ground up then I feel the difference with treatment would be profound..based on the little I have done so far. Tom

I applied the product to hdmi cables and there were no detrimental issues in performace for me. Tom

I answered your questions with explanations and not simply yes or no answers..Go back and cut them apart as you do with all my posts.

Private message Just_ Krissy so she can explain herself and you can pontificate your point of view about me and then she can tell you watt I am all about on a personal and professional level. Tom

Just received my nano flo order placed Sunday nite. Shipped Monday just opened here on Wednesday. Tom

Elastic and mechanical softening in boron-doped diamond | Scientific Reports (nature.com)

Notice what is stated about conductivity below.. Not all materials combos are as simple as they may seem.

Sheridd2 thanks for the updates and I will add my own after my guests leave this Sunday...

Oh. the Kentucky Derby is on May 7 if any members are here in town send me a PM if you would like to stop over and hear my setup.

Tom

Boron substitution in diamond modifies its physical properties, such as adding a distinctive blue color, best known in the Hope diamond29. Boron-doped diamond (BDD) has been widely studied on account of its semiconducting or superconducting properties at sufficiently high doping levels30,31,32,33. BDD retains the high thermal conductivity of pure diamond31, is inert to most chemical reagents, remains highly transparent over a wide range of the electromagnetic spectrum, and is resistant to high levels of radiation. These properties combine to make BDD an important material in potential semiconductor applications in extreme environments. Although the electrical and optical properties of BDD are well known34, and the compressibility of BDD is indistinguishable from that of diamond in volume-compression measurements35, the precise influence of moderate-to-high boron doping on the mechanical and elastic properties of single-crystal diamond has not been investigated.

Look for the patent as eye did..do a patent search as eye did, he has at least 2 patents. The patents do not address this product. Tom

Nano Flo contact enhancer does not contain diamond or boron doped diamond even though his patent granted in 2017 explains how he makes nano diamonds which he stated to me does not contain diamond.......

2 entirely different formulas and 2 different purposes..Tom.

Well good one down and one to find.

The badger guy only badgered but didnt take the time to search on his own time. Thanks Soarnatti for your time. Tom

A room with a view of the music. Supplied by the camera and commentary from OCD Mikey now on YouTube. STAR SOUND ENERGY ROOM ! - YouTube

The room surfaces are mechanically grounded to the floor and the hard surfaces are left to vibrate. All components are hard mounted to Sound Stage Audio Platforms and again left to vibrate on their own accord. The vibrations move down and out in a continuous fashion. Even the main breaker panel for this room is mounted to a Sound Stage Platform and direct-coupled to the wall.

No soft materials and no springy platforms to slow down the transfer of resonance energy. The corners are filled with steel shots. The size of the evenly rounded bearings was auditioned and chosen after being installed and played inside special cello endpins. The largest of the 3 sizes was chosen for optimum performance.

The greatest threat was overdamping the corners which we discovered those ill effects on sound during various applications in smaller room models.

For the new Caravelle speaker model, I chose two extremely linear drivers which allowed for a very simple and novel crossover build. The same speaker system is used in my own room but the crossovers are built outboard the enclosures for testing. Everything is direct-coupled and mechanically grounded through the speaker stands. All my components are placed using the same type of platforms and racks. I will need to remove the 2 speaker drivers clean off the old contact enhancer and apply the new Nano to the drivers and crossovers.

My room construction predates the Energy Room though I do use angles on the ceiling wall junctions in 2 places. The owner of this system has purchased NanoFlo but has not yet applied the product.

I hope the posted video will allow members to view and share construction methods some of which could be applied or adapted to their own audio rooms. We are currently reverse-engineering the Energy Room and hope to have retro-fitted surface mounted and portable products that mechanically function in anybody’s room. Let the Energy Flo. I am a member of Sound Stage Audio.

Like all Sound Stage products, these innovations were designed and tested by many people over the years of research and development. Tom

I have some of this lube in my LP 12 for over 2 years. Its nano diamond  lube in mineral oil works great. Tom

I emptied the bearing well of its black oil and replaced with a clear lubricant containing nano diamond lube. I stated this weeks ago in this thread. Tom

Someone mentioned Window Pane ?

Who's the spruiker and who's the sprukee?

None of this is about audio anymore.

I tried to shake it up with the Mikey report on the room and maybe that will spark another different riot ..butt that was ignored so I guess I will call it quits and shut it down. I like this nano product thats why I started my 3rd thread in 20 years time.

Dave (kykat)

So happy you came by. Wasn't so sure how it would sound after I treated some parts 12 hours before you arrived. Should be even better tonight when I travel down to the music room. Please post that cd that you brought over. I need to make that purchase. Next time you come this way let's get together again. I really enjoyed the visit.  Tom

I removed nps 1260 in stages as did a friend in his system and then we both applied the nano product which we both heard and felt was a considerable improvement. Tom

No..Why would I consider doing that? I dont think those 2 would bond nor adhere well..I have an unopened container of q45t avaiable. Tom

My connections are brass, copper, silver and rhodium.

All took considerable effort to remove the 1260. I soaked fine bronze wool in alcohol to clean all the contacts and connections..Tom

Told Chris that early on besides Ky. Is the initials of my home state of Kentucky..Derby week here at the track now with my daughter. $ 12 for a domestic beer. Smell the cigars and Kentucky Blue Grass in full burn. Beautiful place to be. Tom

On Monday afternoon I took to treating my cd transport with Nano Flo after removing the NPS1260 that was already present. I put the spinner in repeat mode for several hours at a low volume to bring the system up to speed.

I played a Neil Young greatest hits cd that is always ready to run. Several selections on this disc have a glare at mid to moderately high volume but not this time. This time there was no glare to be seen or heard just fully rounded music in a super quiet back round. Greater articulation from top to bottom slightly more depth of field and a wider more distinct center image.

Nano Flo seems to have reduced digital glare while at the same time enhancing all other details. Makes me wonder if I will have enough of this product, as I find more and more specific uses every time I look at my system and room. Tom

If you treat the source component first and the glare is reduced or mitigated why would you question the result? Tom

So I purchased my PS Audio Lamda transport from Peter Israelson who until recently was a tech, builder and designer for High Fidelity Cables makers of the 1260 and Q45 contact enhancer..Spoke with Peter today about glare digital and otherwise and he had the same experience as me. On some music we would both reach for the remote in anticipation of the glare that we knew was fast approaching and turn the volume down. With the application of Nano Flo there was no glare.

I can post all the mods and tweeks this transport has been thru.. New choke  power supply board with Nichicon Gold filter caps.with several film and foil bypass caps,.upgraded zener diodes, Vampire rca digital, new upgraded digital clock board, circuit boards mounted with brass standoffs and brass screws. CDM Pro9 transport and drawer treated with AVM coating, Star Sound CD Cirkulus tophat , cryo treated magnet instead of fuse, upgraded ac input..there is more likely.  Oh it sits in the center of a custom Sistrum Sp5 rack that has brass rods instead of the usual stainless steel. These rods are drilled and filled with the same material  mix I use in my cello endpins. The transport sounds best on the center shelf because of the increase in torsional rigidity. Found this out by moving the transport  from top shelf on down. More stable center image along with better bass when in the middle. The rack is mechanically grounded to the concrete floor  with 2.5 inch brass Audiopoints..The treated breaker box  is 8 feet from my system and has The Gate mounted inside.. The breaker box  is 35 feet from the ground mounted transformer outside. On the meter outside I treated it with the same mix of metals in paint that I applied to the interior breaker box whose metal door was removed because the music plays better when off.  That's all about that. Tom

I know who you were in the past and you would harass one and all. So I am going to request Tammy track your IP address and compare it with a few other names. You are worthless for sure never a positive always a negative.Anyone wish to post the harassers previous names or send me a PM.  You are the root cause of glare..Tom

I should have said ferrous metal door was removed. And the music does go nuts.  Thanks for giving me the opportunity to correct my original post. And notice I didn't state which nonferrous materials I experimented with during listening tests, and which sounded best to the three of us in the group. Tom

thyname,

Thanks for the repost. I went back and found the original and sent it off to Tammy with my comments. Thanks so much. Tom

I will be be removing nps 1260 in a day or so and applying Nano Flo to my DAC...I have Q45 sealed in a bottle..never tried it after the 1st application of Nano Flo. Hard to imagine or seek out a greater benefit of any connection type. Tom

I purchased a streamer 10 days ago my 1st experience.Pretty flat and a tad forward. Of course I will mod the hell out of this piece. The first easiest and staring me in the eyes was the 2 wireless antenna..Seeing an opportunity I whipped out my trusty Nano Flo and treated the antenna connections.

There was an immediate improvement in tone and texture and the body of the center image. I may have to keep this darn thing. Try the nps or Q45 on your wireless connections. Could be a suprise...Tom

NASA Man uses nps 1260 or Q45t..he should try it on his network connections. Tonight after TV time I will treat the rest of my 'puter stuff. Tom

Yes Tommy Lion I treated those and the Stop Itz..My next pursuit is to make my recent streamer purchase sound as good as my cd transport..Wish me luck as I am wanting to juice up the power supply first.  Learn as I go. Tom

I also treated all the tops of capacitors all the IC's tops and any transistor I could see to reach . I am convinced Nano Flo has a tunneling effect because of the improvement I heard soon after application on traditional non conductive portions of  materials..Tom

Now read this...

http://v2.stereotimes.com/post/nanoflo-superconductor-holographic-3d6-ac-cord-by-mike-girardi/

I am very happy to see not 1 but 2 reviews in the same online magazine.

I wish Chris much luck and success in bringing his technology to the fore front of nano technology.

Tom

Hello  Orthomead,

I have no hesitation on applying Nano Flo on every conductive surface. I have treated the internals of my 2 amps, preamp, CD and dac.a portion of the speaker voice coil.I have enough left over to do future components and a brainstorm that may wake me up from a deep sleep. I will treat my daughter's bass rig I bought today after I hear it a few times. Should be interesting treating the pickups on her bass and all around. The nano materials of this product are smaller than any other similar product. Will penetrate the remanates of any previous..All good for me. Tom
