MF X 10 D as aid for long cable run?

I hope to be getting my Integra DTC 9.8 processor soon and setting up my HT. I'11 need to run ics about 35 feet to my surround amp. What do you think about using an old musical fidelity X10D buffer between the Integra and surround amp and thus two shorter interconnects per channel rather than just one long interconnect per channel? Thanks.
