Meridian Setup Advice

I recently acquired a Meridian 565 Processor/562V PreAmp/518 PreAmp. I am ready to hook up the system with my Proceed AMP2/AMP3. I have been told that setting up a Meridian system can bring grown men to TEARS. If 50% of this is true, I may be in for big trouble. If any of my fellow audio/video-philes have any suggestion on a path that I should pursue to make this Meridian setup easier, Please Help. If you are aware of any sites, books, or individuals who may aid me in cutting down the learning curve, I will be most appreciative. Thanks in advance
