I had the Kestral IIs. I tried my Cary CAD 300 SEI & my Pass Aleph 30 on them. The Pass Aleph sounded better.
I recently purchased a pair of Sonus Faber Concerto Domus floorstanders. They have the same Vifa ringtweeter as the Kestral II. I'm going to pair them with a Pass XA30.5 amp.
Hopefully, they will sound as good or better than the Kestral/Aleph combo.
