John Ty recommends i want to say tubed amps with his speakers. In my case i use class D amps with a tubed preamp. I dont think it matters what amp you might want to use with these super revealing speakers, you need to try first to find out what you are hearing and if it works for you.
In this hobby i think we are all looking for a sound in our systems that we can live with enjoy and listen to with out fatigue that brings musical satisfaction. That being said you might go through a number of parts of your system till you get that magic sound you want.
