Mcintosh PS2k sub

I was at the House of Sound in New York.  They didnt have the Ps2k sub.  Has anyone had the chance to hear the performance  of that new sub?

I actually had the chance to hear the PS2K at McIntosh Labs in Binghamton — it’s on another level. They had it set up in one of their listening rooms, and the low end was just massive, but super tight and controlled. It’s not the kind of sub that just rumbles — it locks the whole room in with this clean, physical presence. You really feel it.

I haven’t personally heard them at the House of Sound, but last I heard they were either updating that space or working on a new one. When they brought the PS2Ks in, word was you could feel them from down the street. Haven’t confirmed it myself, but I wouldn’t be surprised — those things move air like crazy.

Pairing them with the XRT line is unreal. Total immersion. Not a small investment, but one of the most impressive subwoofer experiences I’ve had.

The House of Sound had the mc2.1 amps with the Xrt2.1 speakers going. It was incredible with the line array system. They don’t use subs. With that ps2k sub I can’t imagine the music in that room. Very very impressive.
The price tag is up there for sure. Agreed. If you heard it you’d want one or 2🤪🤪

I don't think I 'd want to hear it because then I might be tempted to get two!  At that price I would have liked to see speaker level inputs also though.
