Looking for suggestions on a preamp to match with Mcintosh MC352 and Martin Logan Ascent speakers. I am currently using a Mac C39. I want to stay with Mcintosh. Will a different preamp make that much of a difference?
I am using a C47 with my 7270, and it's a great combination. I am thinking of getting a C49 mainly for the DAC upgrade, but now I also like the new MDA200, but haven't heard anything about how it would be as a preamp.
Any Mac preamp will work nicely, it just depends on how much you want to spend and if you want tube or solid state. You may want to ask at the McIntosh forum at Audiokarma.org
