I had a C70 and Mc462 in a second system, but the room was too small, the speakers were too big. I sold the entire system starting over with SET. However, the 462 is a very powerful and smooth amp that I thought had excellent synergy with the C70 McIntosh tube pre-amp. The amp is overkill in a small room and really deserves room to show what it can do. I think it compares very favorably with the 611s so the price is not out of line.

I am about to purchase a mcintosh mc-462 any one who has expertise about this amp please chime in. Also is it worth the ten grand price tag.
