McIntosh C1100 vs Audio Research 6SE or Ref 10

Looking at C1100 vs 6SE

seem very comparable and separate chassis for power controls in C1100 gets it closer to the Audio Research ref 10.  The separate chassis for power controls seems like a big plus vs the 6SE.  I will likely not use the phonostage but this may not be a big deal (all those tubes burning and going to waste, sad). 
Currently have a McIntosh amp, mc255, and interested on anyone’s experiences with any of these units.  Mostly plan to use this with a Roon Nucleus and with HT system via bypass.
