McIntosh 2205 mate?

I am brand new to this discussion board and need some advise.  I recently acquired a McIntosh MC2205.  I now want to find a pre-amp mate for a 2-channel system.  What the old school look and sound.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

To stay in the same era, you could go with a C220, a C28 or an MX113.  Just depends on what you want.  C220 is a tube unit, C28 is SS and the MX113 is SS with an integrated tuner.  I'd suggest you contact Audio Classics for additional suggestions; they're the foremost vintage McIntosh people around.
