mbl 1500 vs1600 series ??

Has anyone compared the two- Is the 1611 THAT much better sounding and in what way than the 1511?? Is it worth the extra $$$- Also what is the major dif. between the different versions d,e, and now f in the DAC and the regular and "A" version of the transport??
