matching cd player for exposure 2010s

Hi. I recently bought a Dynaudio audience 52se speaker with stand4 (soon to be my 2nd system) I paired it with exposure 2010s and a yamaha universal player--- don't laugh with yamaha guys. Paired with ultimate cables silver series speaker wire & IC. Although this set-up was impressive on my Meadowlark kestrel, its the opposite on the DYNaudio. The bass are boomy, midrange is not convincing, its like boring. Well, the top end is excellent.
