Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin

I haven't posted in a while but this is worth knowing about. I was fortunate enough to go hear this concert the other night in Calgary in an old church. It was outstanding. Just the two singers and their guitars. Their interaction with one another and the audience was great. If you get a chance, and like this music, I don't think you will be disappointed. Here is a link to the tour.

I remember watching that on PBS and noticing the sad difference in psychology comparing a trio of women to a trio of men. The women supported each other and played "together" also taking turns at the lead.

The trio of men (Neil Young, Eric Clapton, and ???)(I think those are the correct men)each stomped around in their own little circle like wolves marking territory. There was no interplay or sharing. They were playing the same song, but they weren't playing "together".
Mofimadness,

"Three Girls and their Buddy" was also on PBS. Not as good as seeing them live but still a treat. Glad I have a copy on my DVR. My favorite from the show was "Shelter Me" featuring Patty and Buddy. That version is better (guitar and vocals IMO) than the album version with Julie Miller.
