I used to own the Miles II and drove them with EAR 890 amp. Wonderful sound. Have you ever heard ceramic drivers? They're found in some of the higher priced speakers but they're also not for everyone. People I have spoken with either love them or hate them, regardless of price. They are VERY fast and detailed due to their low mass. My friend owned the Miles III for quite a while and also drove them with EAR amps. If you get a pair, I would put tubes on them or a "warmer" ss amp. Last I checked, they are around $12,000 for a pair which is very overpriced IMO. If you buy used, go for it.
