Mark Levinson 5805, quality of dac
I am rebuilding and playing with different ideas to simplify.
The ml 5802 seems to be a good or better bang for back approach.
Has any one compared it's dac with current great sounding comparables eg naim nova as an all in one or dacs in the $1500 to approximately $2k range. The ml 5805's dac is 4 yes old as is the naim
I get drawn to the separates. But at this stage in my life I have downsized and need ease of use and to not ding my retirement buget too much.
My current amp/pre are pass aleph as as my phono stage. Ancient da conversion needs updating.i want to add streaming and more current digital sources
Speakers will remain silverline LaFolia very efficient sweet and highly resolving.....I just love them.too much to replace them
