Marc Olsen "Brighter When"

This is an artist and record I would guess that most of you have not heard. I picked it up on a whim in 2004 because he had played guitar with Mark Lanegan's band and what a gem this turned out to be. "Brighter When" just always seems to find it's way back in my rotation and I love it everytime I listen to it. Hard to describe him other than a singer/songwriter, he has sort of an electric, haunting edge. Tight arrangements, fine playing and beautiful writing. If you have a chance, pick up this album. It is a special piece of music that slipped through the popular cracks.
