A friend of mine has the 8003 and likes it very much, but I haven't heard it myself. He has Quad 57s driven by updated classic tube amps and custom hybrid preamp.
Marantz SA7003 / SA8003?
Hi all. I wanted to ask if anyone has heard the Marantz SA7003 and SA8003? These are the new(er) range of SACD players, following up the pretty succesfull SA7001/SA8001 range (IIRC SA700X not sold in the US, only SA800X).
How do they stack up against the previous versions, other than the aesthetic changes? I am primarily interested to know if they retain that slightly warm, full-bodied Marantz house sound.
