Marantz SA-7S1 filters and noise shaper

I am a new owner of this player, and am wondering if anyone has any experience with the filters and noise shaper?

Red book I use either Filter 2 or 3 depending on the CD. I don't use noise shaper. If it is a new player it will sound it's best after a few hundred hours. Enjoy ,it is an excellent player.
