MARANTZ - SA-15S2 CD Player with Tube Amp?

I was interested in the MARANTZ - SA-15S2. It is about 3-4 years old I think, so I am hoping some have heard it or owned. I was really interested in how it sounds running it a Tube Amp, as I have a Primaluna Dialogue Premium HP Integrated Amp. I have a VPI Prime Turntable, but have a lot of CD's that I'd like to start playing. I think I can get a good deal on the Marantz since it is older, but cannot audition it prior to purchase. Also, how would you describe the sound? What are its strengths vs. weaknesses, especially compared to other CD players $2,000 and under? Thanks!
