Very late to the party, but I had been happily using MapleShade Double-Helix Plus cables for some years until my recent speaker upgrade to Monitor Audio PL100-3G. For no particular reason, I tried bi-wiring -- heavy-gauge Canare Litz cable to the tweeter and the DH+ to the bass. The improvment in dynamics and bass response was immediately obvious. I then flipped the cables such that the DH+ drove the tweeters and the Litz drove the bass. Again, a subtle but notable improvement -- particularly in the bass which went deeper and faster, but highs are now more crisp and extended. The snap of a snare drum; the pluck of a string.
Conclusion: The MapleShade DH+ present too much impedance to the amplifier; that wire is just too thin. Give them a smaller load and perhaps they do just fine. TBD
I will experiment with other cables, but for now I'm very pleased with this combination. I've read good things about AnalysisPlus cables and may start there.
