Thanks for your response. That helps a lot. I haven't heard the Dehavilland, and its been a long time since I heard the Modulus, but your comments just confirm how good the Modulus, even when compared to todays offerings.
Not familiar with that particular Rogue although I have owned a Rogue 66 and a Manley Shrimp - albeit it radically different systems. Overall I was more impressed with the Manley both in terms of sound and build quality. Have owned many, many preamps over the years and I can tell you that I far preferred both the Audible Illusions Modulus 3A and the DeHavilland Ultraverve to either of those though...
