I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Lyngdorf 2170. I should have it in the next week or so.
Apparently, Lyngdorf recommends placing speakers up against the wall, which seems counterproductive given everything we've all been told about soundstage width and especially depth. I understand that the manufacturer's advice in this case has to do with the role of the Roomperfect room correction, but there must be Lyngdorf 2170 owners who have placed their speakers out into the room, just as they would have without room correction.
Has anyone tried both speaker placements with this amp? I'd like to hear from you on this issue. Thanks.
