Paranoia runs deep Into your life it will creep Starts when you're always afraid Step out of line the man come And take you away |
In the last 20 years we have had 2 Presdents elected with a minority of votes, in the previous 200+ years that only happened 2 times and 1 time the house decided. If this is something that continues with that frequency it will become unsubstainable and the electoral college will probably be relegated to the dustbin of history where it belongs. It’s just another remnant to get slave states to ratify the constitution anyway. Like the 2nd amendment was as well.

Tony/Steve isn’t worth the trouble since his claims have been debunked but enough of him lets look at this so called conspiracy our govt is pulling on us. There are hundreds of climate scientists in this country alone not to mention assistants so to pull off this conspiracy they would all need to be in on it and the more people involved in a conspiracy the more difficult it becomes to keep it secret. We can’t stop there since climate scientists in other countries find the same or close to the same results so in order for this conspiracy to succeed they would have to be in on it as well bringing the number of people pulling the wool over our eyes to staggering numbers. I have to give all these scientists and agencies and the other people working in them credit as thousands of people and dozens of countries have succeeded in one of the best kept secrets in history. There can only be one answer it’s the New World Order behind this climate hoax. |
Robert Frost is one of my favorite poets and Stopping by Woods my favorite poem of his. |
The UK Met isn’t the CRU but at any rate that incident was investigated and the result was no manipulation of data. The cherry picked emails by climate change deniers which superficially looked like nefarious goings on was easily set aside once they were placed back in context which is why all the investigations showed nothing wrong but don’t let that get in the way of a good conspiracy theory rant. This reminds me of the good old days dealing with the tin foil hats going nuts over fluoridated water and chem trails. Hilarious stuff. |
The datasets from NASA and the UK Met and Berkeley Earth match the NOAA data so I assume NASA and the UK are in on this cover up as well. The larger this supposed cover up grows the harder it is to believe. |
I naturally only drink distilled water, rain water or pure grain alcohol to replenish my precious bodily fluids. I think that's why these scientists only drink vodka and never tap water it's how they have brainwashed all these people into falling for this New World Order plot of climate change through fluoridation of water. I bet Heller doesn't drink fluoridated water either, need to check on that he could really be a plant and will suddenly announce one day this hoax is real trying to get more converts. Does anyone here know what kind of water or alcohol he drinks? Can't be to sure. |
That's some record breaking snow fall. More than 30 inches in 24hours. Drifts to 15 feet I don't see how people live in those areas to much snow for me. |
Lassiez-faire capitalism doesn't work either unless you want some kind of a Dickensian dystopia. |
I think scientists know that climate change is not all caused by human activity their point is the only thing we can do is address the damage humans cause. We can't do anything about volcanoes erupting or the sun if it begins to increase energy. When a minority doesn't even admit humans contribute to climate change or yeah we do but their's nothing we can do because of short term economic reasons and this minority has the money and power to suppress information, make up crazy conspiracy theories, spread outright lies and propaganda that's when we have a serious problem. There can be no both sides come together to fix a problem when one side refuses to admit one even exists, that human activity has tipped the balance and if we continue to do nothing we will reach critical mass at some point. |
Like I said until we admit there's a problem there will be no coming together to fix it. Only when the evidence becomes so overwhelming the vast majority demands something be done will we leave the flat earthers arguing amongst themselves just how flat. |
Don't forget Berkeley Earth and UK Met since their data matches NASA and NOAA . They have to be in on the conspiracy too. 🙄 |
I understand this is just a wasted argument the young today will take up the torch and work to help the environment we have already lost all credibility and wasted to much time. I hope it isn’t to late for them it is for us. We’re buried in greed and wild lunatic conspiracy theories the least we can do ifor them is keep pointing it out. |
It's best to avoid them both. |
I live in one of those red states that take more than they pay, a lot more. We have billions in unfunded pensions. We constantly rank in the bottom on health, top in smoking and opioids, 20th in taxes, 45th in education but we have a right to work law and try to make a woman’s choice illegal. I agree with Nonoise I would like to see states break even then maybe we could catch up with CA. Texas is getting purple probably be blue in 2 or 3 more election cycles. |
Ok, so NASA,NOAA, Berkeley Earth, UK Met not to mention other climate scientists at various Universities and various agencies and independent groups in Europe, Asia the US are conspiring with the EPA and environmental groups to defraud taxpayers for environmental justice. Yep.... as my mother would say " Duck everyone here comes another flock". |
They keep the mentally ill on the streets instead of hospitals in CA ? Huh, sounds like the LPS Act signed in 1967 by Gov RONALD REAGAN. |
The same with frost on glass it has a certain symmetrical pattern to it. I never cared for the cold though, snow and frost, probably because I grew up poor and the house was always cold. Going out at 5 in the morning to feed and milk the cows in the winter wasn't a fun time for a 12 year old. |
Doesn’t matter by the 1980’s Reagan took the model nationwide, that’s a good jumping off point for the decline of the middle class and the resurgence of the John Birch Society or Moral Majority and various other right wing looney tunes. It was Lee Atwater’s heyday before he got cancer and a conscience and blew the lid on all the shenanigans they were up to. We all got trickled on. |

1965 Medicaid and Medicare is passed people living at home are eligible for benefits those in hospitals are not states start releasing patients to reduce costs shift it to Federal Govt 1967 Reagan cuts 2600 jobs and 10% of the Dept Mental Hygiene in CA. There are 22000 patients in institutions. 1967 Reagan signs LPS Act patient care outside hospitals is underfunded and woefully inadequate. 1973 Paitients in CA mental hospitals has dropped to 7000 1975 Supreme Court rules on O' Connor v Donaldson 1980 Carter signs Mental Health Systems Act to help states financially return some responsibility to Federal Govt 1981 Reagan repeals most of the MHSA in favor of block Grant's federal funding of mental health goes down 2004 DoJ estimates 10% of state prisoners meet criteria for psychotic disorder

I guess we shouldn't mention that homelessness in rural Texas has increased 33% in recent years. It isn't just a problem of large urban areas. It isn't a left or right, us and them problem. We can't find some marginalized group we can rant and rail against at a political rally.... well except for a certain narcissistic orange buffoon. |
Which part exactly? The part where he claims methane isn't a big deal because there isn't a lot of it and what difference does it make because water vapor and carbon dioxide are in the same spectrum. Water vapor and carbon dioxide are the most abundant greenhouse gases but methane is more powerful as he said about 28 times carbon dioxide. Methane doesn't stay in the atmosphere as long so by reducing that we can get jump on climate change in the short run we were actually counting on reducing methane to meet the 2C increase but methane levels are rising thus the need to get a handle on it. The part where he dismisses methane because of some notion about it being in the same spectrum with the more abundant gases and being so much less then it doesn't really matter. The problem, or with him more likely distortion, is what happens with methane in its oxidation process in the atmosphere it becomes yeah, carbon dioxide and water vapor. The larger problem is when it does this in the stratosphere where water vapor creates a worse problem because it creates a feedback, warming the climate faster. The other thing is with so much methane now in the atmosphere the ability for it to naturally oxidize with the other chemicals is believed to be getting harder making it stay longer. |
Tony Heller web site isn’t actual science nor facts. |
The universe is chaos, the inevitable slide from order to chaos, it's called entropy. |
Yeah the climate has been changing for 4.5 billion years, problem is humans couldn't have survived in about 95% of that time. If some naturally occurring force changes it so we can't survive again then nothing we can do. The only thing we can do it try to reduce the impact humans are having on the climate that's it, we can't stop volcanoes erupting. This planet is it we don't have a plan B. |
Interesting article mahgister it explains what's going on with some here. Some will never believe but if they can help at least a number of people come to grips with the reality of the problem that's a good thing. |
Looks like you are talking about the small self and larger Self. While that may be the case there is no more proof of us being part of some multicellular entity that the angry old man of the bible. If it gives you comfort in believing in such a thing that's all well and good. My best to you. |
There is an interesting article from Imperial College on Dr. Claudia de Rham and her mathematical framework that yielded a viable theory on massive gravity. It modifies general relativity by giving mass to gravitons which explains why the universe is speeding up in its expansion. |
From what I understand "Bios" from your link, is not a law it’s not even a theory but a hypothesis on creative evolution. It postulates that life could have emerged not by determined unpredictability/chaos or supernatural beings/ Gods but by a certain process called determined novelty. It doesn’t address the nature of the universe so I am not sure what the point was in bringing it up in a discussion about whether it’s a determined universe or a chaotic one. The working theory the Big Bang assumes the universe is determined unpredictability or chaotic. |
I'm not sure mathematics has ever revealed some all immersive memory information field or multicellular entity that would encompass the entire universe perhaps you have a link to some of this or is it a personal hypothesis of your own? |
I prefer books more along the line of Stengers, Quantum Gods than new age gobbledygook like Chopra. |
Stenger's brief ' Is the Brain a Quantum Device' talks about Penrose and his notion the brain or consciousness is somehow quantum that he puts forth in His book The Emporers New Mind, the brain is to large and to hot to be a quantum device coherent or not. Physicists, neuroscientists and those in th AI community say the notion of quantum consciousness or brains is not supported by the evidence. |
|
There is nothing in the quanta magazine article that would lead one to say " quantum effects exist in wet biological living environment " , there is nothing in that article to make that conclusion or even assumption. He has an interesting hypothesis but tests so far have not been promising but who knows they might find something or at least rule it out. |
I saw the Buddha in a grilled cheese sandwich when I held it up to a mirror. |
Tony Heller reminds me of all the evolution deniers he just attacks others work by cherry picking and obfuscating, why doesn't he go out and do his own climate work to disprove the theory that humans are contributing to climate change? It's one thing to nitpick others work and quite another to go out and do your own to prove something. Just like the proponents of ID or creationism he has nothing of his own to submit for peer review to prove his points. |
So are there 2 or 3 guys in the mirror? |
I saw Jesus once, the year was 1973 at the sportsdrome in Jeffersonville IN at a J Geils concert. He wasn’t a child. |
Science isn't interested in proving or disproving God or Gods more important things to worry about like climate change. |
Some people you can't convince the earth isn't flat. Really. |
You win clearthink, one long run on sentence that says absolutely nothing. |
Amusing act? Glad to provide you a fun time. |
Humans require CO2 as well we can’t live without it. The problem is to much of it. To much CO2 is detrimental to the nutritional value of plants humans consume as well as other problems like saturation, increased weed growth requiring more herbicides, drought conditions from the warming of the planet. Saying more CO2 is good for plant growth because of the fertilizer effect is once again cherry picking one part by ignoring the bad effects. |
Avsjerry I wouldn’t accuse you of being a troll but you are part of the floor show. Welcome to the off Broadway bomb some of us enjoy your part in the play. |
Carbon dioxide is ESSENTIAL in humans. If we didn’t have any carbon dioxide in our bodies to regulate blood Ph and determine the bond between oxygen and hemoglobin for release in cells and tissue we wouldn’t live very long. Low carbon dioxide causes blood vessels to constrict it also causes decreased uptake of glucose raising your blood sugar. Having low carbon dioxide messes up oxygen distribution in the body it’s known as the Bohr effect. It was discovered by Neil Bohr’s father.
Did you think the only thing we did was exhale it?
Yeah you’re right, the level of ignorance is staggering.
Humans require CO2 as well we can’t live without it. |
never a mention of China, India or South America's influence on pollution.
That's strange was reading a couple of days ago how China and India were not meeting their goals in lowering methane which is what scientists were counting on to meet the 2C rise. Need to move outside the bubble. |
"NO ! Humans do NOT require CO2! CO2 is in fact as far as humans are concerned the same as CO, carbon monoxide."
Yeah right Einstein we only require CO2 if we want our blood Ph level in the normal range and oxygen and hemoglobin to bond correctly so we can survive. |
All things must pass. The world has survived worse but it will take some time to clean up the mess.
