Louisville, Ky

Looking for audiophiles in the Louisville area. I've been building my audio system for several years, and even though I now have a really good system, I feel like I have a lot to learn, such as every time I pick up a review and don't understand the basic terms discussed. If you're in the Louisville area and would like to share listening experiences or music, give me a shout! Glenn at gaprice@fbtlaw.com or 553-9830.

There are a couple of groups that get together irregularly and I have one of them over at my house on Sundays. Anyone in the Louisville area [ or just passing through] can contact me at 812-366-3916 or through email. Stanley Wallen
Hey, I recently moved back to Louisville from Cincinnati. Where do you go for high end audio around here? Are there shops or dealers around here?

@ Dusty,

I no longer live in Louisville, but I am from there and there are not many options when it comes to audiophile gear. There is a 98% home theater shop out towards middle town, they carried B&W, Classe and maybe Krell, can't remember. Not set up for a dedicated 2 channel consumer.

A great little find however exist in the Highlands, on the corner of Baxter Ave & Payne St. there is a little hole in the wall called Magnetic Tape Recorder Inc. Charlie Green is the shop owner, who mostly works on repairs of vintage equipment. I have personally used them to repair my Pioneer M-22 Class A power amp & some of my Dynaco gear. The work is thorough and he stands behind it. Occasionally he will have some awesome gear for sale in there as well. He had a Clayton Audio S40 for sale, which I am still pissed at myself for not purchasing it. Anyway if you need something fixed and don’t want to ship it, check him out.
I have been building a two channel system for about a year  now have learned a lot and more to learn.I know these post are old and there is no Mid to high in Brick and mortar sales Businesses in Louisville. If you're interested in a conversation of Audiophile,Contact mikeamullins@gmail.com I'm in the Goshen area.
