Looking for suggestions for me new analog system

Hello All,

After a prolonged hiatus from listening to records due to a serious accident and personal turmoil that forced me to sell all my records and my system, I am slowly getting ready to build a new system and start collecting records again. My budget as well as my listening room are both now larger, which is a welcome change, but the challenge and having to start from scratch are daunting.

My old system consisted of the VPI Classic turntable with the Lyra Delos cartridge, RCM Sensor 2 phono preamp, Rogue Audio M180 tube monoblocks and 99 Magnum tube preamp, and Silverline Audio SR-17 speakers. The only component I have kept is the Sensor phono preamp. My current room is 17x15.

I would kindly ask for your recommendations for speakers around $10k give or take a few grand either way. Also, the turntable around the same price without the cartridge. Not sure about the amplification. I think I’d like to stay with tubed amps, but I’m open to solid state. My musical tastes are 50% classic jazz and roughly 50% classic rock.

Thank you very much,

Marek

This isn't answering the questions directly but, something that may help you get you thoughts distilled down is/are Paul McGowen's books about stereo systems and his ideas of how to approach system building.

As well all know, finding the right speakers for you is essential.

Also, you may be able to gain some insight about various products by asking questions on ChatGPT or other AI websites.
