Looking for a player/Transport that will support a I2S connection

I stand corrected. The $1K NuPrime looks to be the most inexpensive.
For that you get an archival slot loader.

PS Audio’s is more than a CDT for $6500. What part of "CD...and not slot of cash" does that pertain to?

PS Audio has I2S using HDMI connection.

Jays is about your only choice, 
Hope that $2500 isn't too much. 
Not sure what retired has to do with it.
