Copper can be a little murky if you are using all gold-plated connectors, but yes, I agree it is more natural and realistic. I have found 20awg solid-core to be the sweet spot between strong bass and good resolution highs, but you could try building a cable using some 21awg UniCrystal Cu Airlock hookup wire from VH Audio. It's cryo-treated OCC copper. Then make sure to use rhodium plated connectors for all your cables (including the headphone cable). Furutech has excellent offerings here.
litz copper vs stranded silver?
Although I find stranded to offer better clarity over solid it has that nasty glare, solid while a bit murky is more natural and realistic. Litz seems to offer the best of both based.
Looking to build a new headphone cable with UPOCC metal but not sure if its worth paying 4 times as much for 7 strand silver over ultra fine stranded litz copper.
