Little-known Gems

Looking through my secondary CD collection, I re-discovered "The Butts Band", formed by John Densmore and Robby Krieger of "The Doors".  Their first album (eponymous) is straight-ahead, sit-at-the-bar stuff that brings a good feeling from way back.

Listened to Butts Band - "Hear and Now" tonight. Didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first album. Probably won't be re-visiting this one.....

OK, listened to the self-titled first Butts Band LP today at lunch. Haven't listened to it in nearly 40 years. Pretty solid stuff. I'll put it in my rotation for a while and see where it goes from there.

Later this evening I'll listen to the second album - "Hear and Now".

Thanks @jafreeman for the reminder. I've skipped over both of these records on my record shelf many hundreds of times.....

I have both Butts Band albums on Vinyl - "Butts Band" and "Hear and Now". Haven't listened to either since sometime around 1980. I'll give them a spin to see if I can remember why I bought either of them....
