LHY Power Supply for Node and Pontus II Firmware

My LHY Linear Power Supply upgrade from Beatechnik for the Node N130 introduced a brittle, technical sound (maybe what folks call "etchy"). I've heard this before with products that need some time to break-in, but this seemed worse.

Ten days after the LHY upgrade, I successfully updated the firmware on my Pontus II and the harshness was gone. I was amazed at the improvement.

I wrote Vinshine to share my experience. They confirmed that others had also experienced some initial harshness with the LHY upgrade, and it would take 100-300 hours of a break-in period.

I will admit that the harshness may have begun to diminish before the firmware update; however, the firmware update made an immediate and very noticeable improvement in my case.

This isn't a question. I simply wanted to document and share my experience for those who have similar equipment.

i have not heard the lhy/beatnik lps upgrade to the node 130...  but just for fun, i bought a used node n130 with the polish pd creative lps mod installed, using a small green computer 5v lps and the sound is terrific (both from the digital and analog outs), a big step up from the stock n130 with its internal smps powering the unit... very cost effective, all in still under a grand

@imaninatural      I to have purchased a LHY LPS for my lumin U2 mini the first two days the sound was smooth and now its brittle and hard I do not know why. Any one has any idea will it improve over time

@jasbirnandra The folks from Vinshine mentioned that it would take 100-300 hours to break-in. I was pretty disturbed by the brittle sound - even to the point of considering switching back to the original components. But I am happy now. I think it was a combination of break in time, but also the firmware update.
