Large room making me apprehensive....

I could use some input from you folks about speakers for a new house...The great room is 18.5 x 21.5 with vaulted ceilings at 21'. One end wall is 21 x 21 of glass. The other end opens to a kitchen over a half wall (4') with a loft above and another glass wall beyond. The other two walls are solid. An alternative is using the loft which is 21.5 x 13.5. One short end wall is solid, the other has a 6'opening over a dining room. The two long sides are railings and overlook the great room with the glass wall 18.5' away, or overlooking a vaulted entry with another wall of glass. The floors are hardwood with rugs down stairs, and a hardwood floor over 3/4" plywood and 2" t&g pine with rugs. Any chance of getting good sound here?

To my ears and experience Sean is right on the money as far as his thoughts on horn speakers are concerned. Two excellent manufacurers come to mind: The makers of the Avant-Gardes and of the A-Capellas. Happy new Year!
