KT 88 with Leben cs 600

I am interested in trying some KT 88 in my Leben.

I found a post by Jeff Day with some settings for the plate voltage ( R ) switch position as up or down.

Does it vary with tube set? Or is it optional by sound?

Most KT88 amps have a hard, brittle sound that I don’t like and the holds for 6550. Of the tube types listed, I particularly like the 350B (real Western Electric, very expensive), and 6L6 and KT 66 are also very good.
