Krell Resolution 2

Has anyone owned or listened to Krell Resolution 2 speakers and are able to give an opinion?  
I have a pair of Resolution 3 's and enjoy the imaging and overall live music representation these speakers give over my ThielsCS3.7.  Love both but so different.
I'm considering a pair of the Resolution 2's and then use the 3's as surrounds. 
Thanks for any thoughts.  Also looking at the LAT -1000 though 3 times the price.
