I would go for new technology.
The MD10 is beautiful and does function very well.
I had the opportunity to buy the Reference 64 D to A ($14,000)for just $2000. At the time, I had the Krell Studio($3900). I asked a friend at Krell if I should buy it, and his response was that I should not. His reason was that the sonic difference was slight and that the "64" was more delicate and very expensive to fix.
I followed his advice.
