it still does not operate , laser still keeps going up and down making a "click click click" sound all the time 

Power source is working ok , display is ok also , i didn`t test the DAC and the pre , but that is not a concern to me ....

once i push the power button , the CD player laser makes a big shake , then starts to move up and down ( clicking) 20 times , then 1 time to the rear , then 20 ups and downs and one to the rear , and so on ....disc does not turn , i have also moved the pulley to move the transport to the rear , but when power is on , laser makes a but shake "clack noise" , then it starts "clicking in the position i left it , no displacement at all , belt is ok , worm is lubricated.......

well , put my hands on the krell , rf amp and spindle driver`s transistors cold solderings , a new belt and 4 220 uf capacitors from the preamp section replaced , made my unit to sing again !! laser was in nice cond , i have bought an optima unit that i will have as a spare just in case , now it`s the time for a couple Phase linears i have here , waiting for white oak components

well , i shouted "hurrah" before testing the analog part .....variable output works fine , but fixed output does not work , plus when i touch the xlr fixed output with the rca`s connected on the fixed output  i hear some mass loss noise ......the fixed output is on a permanent mute condition .....any advice here ??
