Has anyone tried this? I was thinking of upgrading with a more powerful amp, but realized I could get another KAV500 and bridge them to double the power with less buying and selling hassle, and still have the same "sound". Any experience with running a KAV500 in bridged mode would be appreciated.
I think you are right, but I don't want to put that much $$$ into my HT system, so I thought the bridged KAV would be a cheap way to make a bit of improvement. Have you ever run a KAV in bridged?
I have owned and enjoyed lots of Krell equipment over the past 10-15 years. My advice: Sell your KAV 500 and buy a 402E or better yet, buy two 400e's. Both options will sound better than bridged KAV 500's.
