Krell Evolution 505 vs. SACD Standard MK3

Has anyone heard these two Machines side-by-side?

I've heard each on seperate occasions, and they sound very similar to me - both are excellent Players - but is the Evolution model worth the $4K upcharge for use in a non-cast (balanced-XLR) system. Are the reliability issues finally behind the Version 3 Standard?

Also, how does the new Evolution 525 compare - I haven't heard much about this Model - does anyone own it?
