Krell CD with CAST recommendation

I’ve managed to obtain Krell CAST amplifier (FPB) and preamp (KCT) and would like to hear advise on which Krell CAST CD to consider. I do not own SACD. The units under consideration include KPS 28c, 25sc and Evolution 500. I have never heard any of these demonstrated. Currently using a McIntosh MCD7008. Would like to hear opinions if you’ve owned one or several. The 28c would of course visually match everything else but would I miss something by not considering the other two.
