I have a smaller Krell amp, and have tried the latest Transparent Reference. I liked the less expensive MIT cables much better. The Transparent had no bass, and was very unnatural and bright in my fully treated dedicated room. This was also true of a completely different system I heard, using all Transparent Ultra. I like MIT's philosophy of not using series resistors in their termination networks, and since they pioneered the real innovation in netwrok cabling, they are the authority in that area. I've not heard the Utopia speakers, but I don't see how they would be tolerant of bright cables based on the reviews I've seen, unless the listener has lost significant hearing sensitivity in the top two octaves. Cheers...
