Krell Amplifiers FPB?

COMMENTS ON THIS SERIES OF AMP's,why so many for sale?

There are not that many FPB's for sale. I am selling my FPB300 because I upgraded to the 600FPB. I have listened to everything and I don't think anyone comes close to the quality of sound and build in the solid state area. Tubes are a different animal and I frankly haven't been interested in owning tubes, so I won't comment. However, I love Krell and have used their amps since the KSA250 nine years ago. I also had a pair of the Meitner 101 monoblocks and Meitner preamp and that was tubey sounding gear, but doesn't come close to the detail, control and punch of the Krell. Listen for yourself.
Is it due to the new CAST series of Krell amps? You see a lot of "dumping" when a manufacturer releases the next evolution of a product -Noticed how many B&W 801's and 2's have been on the market?
I'm not certain of the reason. What I have observed, isthat the newer series is definitely more musical sounding than that bright, forward, steely quality which used to be so typical of Krell products. The midrange and treble of these products is much more tolerable now.

FOR ONE,KRELL SEEMS TO RE-INVENT THE WHEEL EVERY FEW MONTHS, I MEAN THEIR AMPLIFIER DESIGNS ARE FOREVER CHANGING,IN HAVING OWN THE KSA300s and THE FPB600c,THE TREBLE ON THESE AMPS WILL HAVE YOUR EARS BLEEDING WITHIN MINUTES.I HAVE TRIED TUBE PRE-AMPS(LIKE MOST KRELL DEALERS PLAY THEM ) I WONDER WHY?DIFFERENT CABLES,FRONT ENDS AND SO FORTH AND NEVER COULD TAME THE UPPER END HARDNESS. THE KRELL AMPS HAVE AN INCREDIBLE BUILD AND DISTINCTION ABOUT THEM,BUT BEING ABLE TO SIT AND ENJOY THE MUSICAL EXPERIENCE IS FIRST PRIORTY FOR ME.
