Korg MR-2 vs. MR2000s for converting vinyl.

The MR2000s is a very popular ADC for converting vinyl to digital in DSD format. Unfortunately, it is $1,5000. Has anyone tried the MR-2 handheld for converting vinyl to DSD. At $500 is seems like a real option if the conversion is close to that of the MR2000s. My turntable is a VPI Scout with Benz Ebony TR with Linn Linto phonostage. I'd rather start at the lower price since I am not sure of how the conversions will sound and whether I have the patient to do a large numbers of conversions. Anyone tried the MR-2?
