Kimber Monocle XL vs Acoustic Zen Satori

What are you using now?

I can't speak to the Kimber but have used Satori with Focal Chorus 714S to very satisfying results. I found the Focal's top end could become a little too much when matched with the wrong cable (e.g., Blue Heaven) - Satori was just right.

I'd characterize the Satori as full-bodied and more neutral than most. The Focals have since moved out of my system but the Satori have remained.

my speakers are jmlab electra 926 and acoustic zen adagio

I am using Kimber 4TC currently.

Is there an old and new Satori speaker cable?

the new one seems to be black
the one listed in agon is a good buy

correction: the old one is almost black

So the one on Agon is it new or old then?

Any difference in sonic performance between the old and new Satori? Anyone knows?

Just wanted to mention to all the Audiogoners out there that there is fake kimber kables being sold on this site. I recently purchased some Kimber 4TC from a member here who has an unusual amount of kimber on sale here. I sent my speaker cables to Kimber for verification, and they said it was counterfeit. In fact, Kimber said this member is an unreputable seller. The member I got it from goes by two different names on Audiogon. Feel free to email me for more details.

Yes, I plan to go with Arcam C31 preamp and two monoblocks down the road but may try something else not sure...will see how my budget comes up at that time.
