The 2.2 is a signficiant difference over the 2.0. The 2.2 is much faster and more open in treble and mids, with a better defined soundstage. In my opinion, with my equipment and room treatments, the sound is not at all aggressive as indicated in the EnjoytheMusic review. All-in-all, I find the 2.2's absolutely captivating, and they do disappear. The basis of my opinion was that I purchased a pair of demo 2.0's that were damaged during shipping - but were playable. The speakers were ultimately replaced with the 2.2's.
