JVC TD-V1050TN tape deck

I have a JVC TD-1050TN cassette tape deck that has been in storage for over 10 years, what precautions should I take to start it up again.  Undoubtedly it will need a new belt(s), lube etc.  I plan on selling it as I have no need for it.  I can't even test it as I got rid of all my cassettes years ago.  I see one on ebay for $1,300, Yes I know, it hasn't sold, did a search and there is no sales history on them.
