JMLAB, QUAD OR THIEL.?

I agree with Peter S. That having been said, buy American. You will never be sorry you purchased Thiel. Better resale too.

For that price range, I like Paradigm 11se and Canton speakers. I'm using the Canton Fonum 701s which are great.

I USE ARCAM INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER(90WATS)AND I ENJOY ANY KIND OF MUSIC. THE CD PLAYER IS ARCAM 72T.
The room is 14' by 8'.

Do you floorstanding or stand-mounted speakers - the Thiels are floorsatnders but you could really only get the smaller one used for that price.

What are you lookng for in a speaker - what characteristics do you like or don't like.

I really haven't listened to Thiels or Quads - but might I suggest Acoustic Energy AE309's - they list for $295 new and have that classic british sound.
