JBL L200 Studio Masters

Hi, I have two (2) JBL L200 Studio Masters that I bought new in 1973? and am trying to determine a value range. Last time I used them, they worked fine. I've replaced the grilles twice and the piece where speaker wires connect on one is missing, but still able to connect wires. I had glass tops cut for them a while back. I also have a Marantz 2325 Amp and Dual 701 Turntable for which I'm trying to determine value. All responses are appreciated, Danny Overstreet danny.overstreet@gmail.com

Hi overstrd

I pick up JBLs from time to time. I would say if they have been stored in a decent space away from humidity, and the parts are original and working fine, you could be looking between $1200.00-$2500.00 for them. You being the only owner means a lot. If you have the original shipping boxes and paperwork that's a bonus. If they were "mint" you could ask any amount.

good luck

Generally, anyone who does restoration anything has a bit of a pawn shop mentality. I'm not saying this is wrong, but he wants your  speakers only if the price is right to him. You would be amazed at what he would charge someone for those speakers after restoration.
Well, actually he's the owner of RF Designs, a local company that does high end audio installation among other electronic devices. He's an audiophile and said he would restore them to new condition and put them in his home most likely. But he said they do resale many pieces of vintage audio gear and he has a top notch electronic/audio technician working with him.
Yea...a $500.00 offer is im guessing from a lowlife craigslist bottomfeeder..tell him to hit the yardsales, lol
About $2K - if they are in really nice shape - and you get lucky! Otherwise a lot less!
Does it require payment? If not, I would like to. Just had someone offer me $500 for all four pieces (2 speakers).
@overstrd Have you looked these up in our Bluebook?
