Isotek EVO3 Nova One any good?

Hi All,

I am looking in to the Isotek line up and found that they have a EVO3 Nova One that is meant to be used with sources and preamps.

Does any one know if this device reconstructs the sine wave? How does it perform?

Also interested in hearing you opinion/insights regarding this device.

Thanks

The Isotek gear does not regenerate the waveform, in other words, it is not an amplifier.  I have been to a demonstration and was very impressed with the improvement in sound over not treating power coming from the wall.  But, I cannot really say how it performs as compared to other power treatment.

I liked what I heard enough to buy the Evo 3 Sigma for my linestage, music server, and phono stage and turntable, and also a Titan for my power amp and headphone amp.

My only caveat is that the Evo 3 display should be turned off when you are not actually trying to determine the incoming voltage.  I left mine on all the time and some of the elements in the display have started to fail.
Hi Larryi,

Thanks for the advice regarding the display. I have a Keces BP-2400 for all my system, but I think I could improve on it - Hans the reason for asking.

I was thinking in going for a Evo 3 Titan one for a power amp and tow Evo 3 Nova for DAC and linestage. At this level not shore if getting the EVO 3 Mosaic Genesis will be a best solution.

Based on what you say, this devices are state of the art AC filters and AC protectors, is this correct?

on you system you have a Sigma and a Titan, do they both output the same performance or is their differences form both?

Thanks in advance

I can only say that I like what the Isotek did to my system.  I don't have any problems with audible noise, so the power conditioning is doing something more than removing noise--it improves clarity, and the precision of the image placement in the soundstage.  I have not made any direct comparisons with any current models of power conditioning.  I tend to buy things when I like what I hear without regard to what other things are on the market.

At the demonstration I heard, the biggest improvement was between no power treatment and the installation of the $500 filtered powerstrip that Isotek builds.  The models above that power strip are audibly superior, but the improvements are more subtle.  Perhaps you could try the powerstrip first to see what they offer.
The IsoTek Genesis range and mosiac are sine wave regenerators they have amplifiers built in, I started with the aquirius and quickly went up the range to the Evo3 Genesis the difference is huge, quieter backgrounds, deeper soundstage and width, better control of bass
