If you have the money, try a Silent Running Audio isolation base. They make several different levels--the Ohio Class XL+ being the best and most costly--but all of them, IMHO, are the best isolation devices available at their respective price points. The difference is not subtle. If the power supply is tubed, it'll make even more of a difference, I think.
